Playing a little catch up.

We may have been offline for a month, but we were still trying to keep busy with making the pillowcases.  Time to catch up with the pictures we should have posted.

pillowcases 80-90

This English weather makes it difficult to find somewhere to dry all of the pillowcases.

100 made... But many more to go!

Last weekend, we delivered our 100th pillowcase. It was a pleasure to meet all of the nurses on the Buxton Ward at the Jenny Lind Children's Hospital, Norwich, and to personally give our pillowcases to some of the long term patients there.
The most popular of pillowcases seemed to be the balloon fabric, pigs and some of the funky old-fashion designs sent from Maine. Truthfully, I'm not sure who was more excited about the pillowcases - the kids or the nurses.

Going Forward

Laura and I decided awhile ago that we were not going to stop making the pillowcases, even after reaching our goal of 100. Instead, we will continue as long as we have the fabric to make them.

You will find that our site has changed a little. Thanks to Simon, we have this wonderful new design. You will find a new page entitled Patterns; here you will find our easy pillowcase pattern so that you can make your own pillowcases and donate these to us! We think that this is a great new way for people to get involved and support our project.

Finally, we are excited to announce that we have today launched our own business! You can visit our online store, Cush La Mar, and check out our gorgeous handmade cushions by following this link; www.etsy.com/shop/CushLaMar. 10% percent of all proceeds made will go straight back into Love, The Tanguays so that we can continue with, what we truly believe to be, a worthwhile project.

Thank you again to all of our supporters, and especially those of you who made a big difference and, as such, have been given a special mention on our Thank You page!
